World Intellectual Property Day Webinar “The phenomenon of Counterfeiting in the Republic of Moldova”

On April 22, 2021, the webinar “The phenomenon of Counterfeiting in the Republic of Moldova” was organized under the framework of the Jean Monnet project EUPROIN / Jean Monnet Support to Associations in European Integration and Intellectual Property Protection Studies” implemented by the Association of Legal Culture Henri Capitant Moldova, with the support of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
This event is dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day, which is usually celebrated every year on April 26th.
The event was moderated by Dr. Rodica Crudu, EUPROIN project coordinator.
The success of this event is due to the contribution of the 3 speakers:
- Andrei MOISEI, Senior Consultant, Communication and Training Section, State Agency for Intellectual Property, who spoke about “Counterfeiting versus infringement: common issues and differences”;
- Nicolai OLĂRAȘU, Head of the Consumer Relations and Business Environment Department, Agency for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance, with the presentation “Counterfeiting and consumer protection”
- Natalia MOGOL, Deputy Director General, State Agency for Intellectual Property, who presented in detail the national report on the enforcement of intellectual property rights for 2020.

The topics addressed during the webinar aroused the interest of over 120 participants, who after the speakers’ presentations asked questions and engaged in productive discussions on the topic discussed.
